Tom Williams founded Desert Island Survival in 2016, running the first expedition in Panama. Since then, over 500 castaways have followed him into the wild.

He is the winner of Channel 4’s Alone UK (series 1), the show that drops contestants alone into remote Canadian wilderness to survive by finding their own food, water and shelter. He has also won a 367-mile race to the North Pole, cycled over the Andes, and sailed 8,000 miles from Canada to Chile.
