Mr Beast survives on desert island

Mr Beast Tries Out the Desert Island Life

The intrepid YouTuber Mr Beast recently shared his desert island adventure with the world. Millions of viewers watched as he and his group of friends took on the challenge of surviving with minimal rations on a remote island. Although the way that Mr Beast and crew went about their trip is quite different from how your experience with Desert Island Survival will be, there are some common themes, as well as some interesting questions raised.

Where was Mr Beast’s Island?

The beautiful island where Mr Beast pursued his adventure was ‘Isle a Quatre’, part of a group of islands called Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, South of the Caribbean. As you can see in his clip, it is a true island paradise; blue seas, beautiful beaches, and incredible views from the peaks of the numerous hills that roll across the land. The best part is that if you have a spare 54 million dollars burning a hole in your pocket, then this utopian wonderland can be yours! It’s currently up for sale, so move quickly.

What Did Mr Beast Do When He Arrived on his Island?

The first thing the group did upon getting dropped off was to quickly find somewhere as a base for the seven days they would be spending on the island. This was done fairly rapidly, which then saw them split into two groups – one to prepare a shelter and plan out their space for the next week, and one to go and find wood for the fire that they would be building later.

Was Mr Beast’s Shelter Good?

Not bad at all but didn’t quite stand up to the storm test! The importance of putting together as robust a shelter as possible cannot be overstated in a survival situation. It can very easily become the difference in several factors that dictate what kind of time you will have on your adventure. For example, keeping the elements out if a storm blows your way (great for collecting drinking water, but not with your bedding!). We have put together a comprehensive guide on shelter building and location, and you will have help with the process from our team of survival instructors. Why Did Mr Beast need a Fire on a Tropical Island?

The decision to start preparing a fire quickly is an important one. On the island, fire is essential in many ways, from boiling drinking water, to cooking, to the obvious warmth on colder nights. Although Mr Beast and friends went with a slightly unconventional method of sun lotion to help them get their flames going, we have a comprehensive list of methods, including our favourite – the friction fire, available here.

What Did Mr Beast Eat on his Island?

Mr Beast and co. had some rations in the form of bagged food (just add water) and the ultimate treat of tinned peach cobbler, but there was other sustenance available to them should they need it. Fish being the most abundant in most island situations, there were also chickens, and the unbelievably versatile coconut.

How Did Mr Beast get Water on his Island?

Arriving on the island with ten containers of water certainly helps get things underway, however there will come a time when that inevitably runs out. It is vital that you start planning and putting into action methods to prevent the water supplies from dwindling to a low. We will help you to learn how to make the most of the ways available to harvest water on the island, one of the many skills which can last a lifetime.
